I’m so excited to be getting close to launching my book. It’s been uploaded to the conversion service, which is the last step before it can go to Amazon for sale! As part of my pre-launch work, I had some possible author photos taken. Which one do you like better?
The purple one or the one in front of the leaves?

Seems like most like the second, but I think I like the first better. . . both are lovely, but something about the colors in the first appeals to me more.

A tough choice! I am liking the second one a little better.
The second one has a more open and outward feel, inviting a viewer to engage visually with either you or the dog.
The purple one caught my eye. I love that photo.

You look great in both of them, but I think the dog looks best in the second one. He (or she) looks a little worried in the first one.

I am not much help because I think they are both fantastic, but if I absolutely could only pick one, I’d say the first one that is more blue and purple in color, thinking it may stand out more on a book jacket? Either one you choose is beautiful so you can not go wrong, best of luck to you.
The green background- something about your expression. But both are really great photos, and look TOTALLY like author photos!
Well my fave colors are purple and green, so I may be biased
The leaves distract me from your faces and you seem a bit hunched over in the bottom pic. In the top pic I like how you’re closer to Daisy and “hug” her, rather than just posing in the bottom one.

They are both beautiful – you are such a radiant Love! I choose the picture with the leaves behind you… very interesting.

I prefer the second one. The colors are more vibrant, you both are looking into the camera and I think you both look a little better (though you both look adorable in the first one too!) Good luck with it all. Best, Cathy
I prefer the green but both are terrific.
I like the second picture. It is brighter and has vibrant colors. (And of course, I can fix the top one if you want! hee! hee!)
The second one. The color is fabulous, and Daisy looks so loving and confident! The first picture is cute, but Daisy has her eyebrows raised and that “pondering” headtilt. The second one just says strong positivity and joy from both of you. The first one shows your love for each other; the second one shows you sharing it with the world.
You can’t go wrong. They are both gorgeous! My vote is for the second one as I feel like I see you better. But the love in the first is palpable and charming!
Not only is the second one more flattering, but the orange background really makes your purple outfits pop.

Looks like I’m disagreeing with commenters above, but I actually love the purple one best. I think the colors pop off the green background and its lovely!
