I recently attended a conference in Palm Springs. As part of that conference I led a tour of what we called the Palm Springs Lifestyle. (See this post if you’re interested in where we went and why.) Our tour ended at the Riviera Palm Springs, a fabulous midcentury hotel that’s been updated. Our host, Director of Operations John Trudeau, met us in the lobby with Skinny Jean cocktails… a lightened-up version that was inspired by Marilyn Monroe. The cocktail was so delicious I asked them to share the recipe. Enjoy!

I would definitely consider staying here if we come back to Palm Springs to play… the hotel has a great vibe, the central pool is for grown-ups only, and the food and drinks were fantastic.

The Skinny Jean Cocktail
Serves one

5 raspberries
1/4 oz (8 ml) agave syrup
1/2 oz (16 ml) blackberry brandy
3 oz (90 ml) chilled Champagne
ice

In a cocktail shaker, muddle three raspberries with the agave nectar; add blackberry brandy and ice. Shake well. Add Champagne, swirl, then strain into a champagne flute or coupe glass. Garnish with remaining raspberries.
