I originally wrote this book as a printed version, first for my friends Robin and Chris, and then for my nephew Scott, right. It was a labor of love to collect recipes for them that we loved and used all the time. It felt both old-fashioned and very modern to give them a book of recipes. Those first recipes were the genesis for this food blog. While I’ve re-shot all those early photos, I have a soft spot in my heart for this project.
There’s something special about starting to cook for your loved one when you first get married, regardless of who does the cooking. While roles may not be traditional anymore, we all still want to nourish our sweethearts. These recipes are all healthy, suitable for people watching their weight, dealing with diabetes, or simply wanting to be well for a long time together.
Robin says, “Are you putting the rosemary chicken recipe in? That’s my fave. Just made it again a few nights ago.
Chris loves it too, but I think he would say his favorite is the recipe for dates wrapped in prosciutto. He asks for them a lot!”
There are two versions, one featuring meat recipes for regular eaters, and another for gluten-free and vegan newlyweds.
It’s the perfect little wedding gift, designed for iPads and color tablets. Complete with an ingredient list and easy recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and entertaining.
The gluten-free and vegan version includes appetizer, cocktail, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert recipes. All gluten-free with no animal products included. This is how we eat now, and includes some of The Husband’s favorite recipes.
