We raised $1750 today! We’d like to thank our hosts Great News! Discount Cookware and Cooking School, and all the wonderful folks who stopped by to buy our treats. Here are some photos.
First step, get out the electric fondue pot. This allows the added benefit of seeing the cookbook that came with it.
I set up a double boiler using the fondue pot, half-filling it with water and setting it to simmer. Then I melted the ingredients for my chocolate-pecan bars with smoked salt.
Since each bar was being sold individually, I put whole pecan halves on top. This required some high-tech measuring equipment, as I needed to place the pecans before the bars set up.
I also made pineapple-coconut cupcakes. Recipe tomorrow.
During set-up, you can tell who the food bloggers are… they’re the ones with the nice cameras taking close-up pix of the treats.
