I am thrilled to write this post showcasing a local San Diego company, Saint Jacques Chocolat, featuring gluten-free and vegan chocolates. And not just any chocolates… they are the bomb! Wowee. You can find these chocolates exclusively at Rust General Store in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.
I stopped by their tasting today, and sampled their vegan chocolate peppermint bark, truffles (the peanut butter one is especially insane), and a fleur de sel caramel (not vegan). OMG.
The owner, Max McConaghay, is a registered dietitian, and a portion of the proceeds of all their sales is donated to charities that help children with autism spectrum disorders. They also feature baked goods, made-to-order bake goods and chocolates, and wine-, beer-, or tea-and-chocolate pairings, which would be fun for a baby or bridal shower.
Today’s post is part of our mission to help you build a healthy life through food and lifestyle choices. Look for posts on Mondays featuring gluten-free, sugar-free recipes made with healthy plant-based ingredients.
