As the year begins to wind down, I have the chance to share some of the goodies that came my way this year. While it’s nice to get free stuff, it’s not why I write this blog. So I really like sharing it all with you.
These items came to me individually through a number of different events and channels, so I’ve been saving them for a really nice holiday swag bag. Here’s what you’ll receive:
- The Purple Kiwi Cookbook
by Frieda Kaplan: This is THE most informative book about fruits and veggies I have ever read! Great ideas for expanding your repertoire of produce
- The Happy Herbivore Cookbook
by Lindsay S. Nixon: Lindsay writes the Happy Herbivore blog, and this is a terrific cookbook with low-fat and super-healthy plant-based recipes
- Sweet Freedom: Desserts You’ll Love without Wheat, Eggs, Dairy or Refined Sugar
by my friend Ricki Heller, who writes Diet, Dessert, N Dogs. Ricki is a fabulous writer and her recipes are very well tested. Delish!
- Small flexible spatula
- Large double-ended silicone spatula
- Flexible cutting board
- 3.5 inch stainless paring knife with cover
- 1 bag of American Heritage chocolate, perfect for holiday hot chocolate OR baking

I am looking forward to seeing my family this Christmas! I haven’t seen them in 7 months since I’ve been in the military. Just seeing them will be the best present anyone could ever give me!
It’s not really my holiday but I look forward to people being a little happier and friendlier.
I am most looking forward to our annual family breakfast and jammie day on Christmas Day! My immediate and extended family members come to our house for mid-morning breakfast in our favorite PJ’s! Its a fun and relaxing day for all of us.

Nice stuff! What I love about the holiday season is getting together with my family and listening to Christmas music. Putting up a tree and putting on ornaments is also something I love to do– so pretty to look at daily.
For me, it’s a holiday break from school to give my mind a break. I’m looking forward to a good three weeks of spending time with my family and friends and to do nothing but what my mind puts me to besides focusing on college.
I can’t wait to spend time with family that I haven’t seen for far too long!
I am looking forward to seeing my two grand nephews who were born earlier this year. And also will love cooking up a delicious, yet healthy meal for my family.
Since 1995, we’ve traveled & camped. This year we have moved into a home in Houston & I have a new kitchen & space to cook for my family. Two refrigerators & two freezers are full of food including baked goodies. We will celebrate the holidays at my home this year & I am so looking forward to being with my family.
I am most looking forward to getting home to my family this holiday season. I want to hug my parents, my sister, and my dear nieces and nephews (all 6 of them!)! I miss them SO much.

I’m just excited to have family coming to me for a change. This will be the first time I’ve gotten to cook Christmas goodies for them in about 7 years.
I know it’s cliche, but spending time with friends and family!
I’m so happy to be pain-free after 2 weeks of misery that I’m looking forward to exploring our neighborhood on foot, enjoying the beautiful decorations of the season.

I am looking forward to being a stay at home mom again, running our family business. This enables me to spend quality time with my teenagers and more time with my hubby than we have had in the last 10 yrs when he worked for someone else.
My brother has been serving abroad in South Korea for 3 years and he is finally coming home. To celebrate, he asked that we all go to Hawaii together for Christmas. It’s going to be a very special holiday and reunion.
I am looking forward to spending time with my friends and family, who I never see enough.
What I’m looking forward to most is spending the holidays with my husband! We love baking gluten free goodies together. Hurray for newlyweds!
I’m not entering, but just wanted to say what a great prize! Those knives and spatulas look terrific (and CHOCOLATE!!).
Thanks so much for including my book. Happy Holidays!
I’m looking forward to hosting Christmas for the first time and preparing traditional meals from both my husbands side of the family and my own.
